Name: Ian Watkins
Known For: Lead-singer of the Lostprophets.
Clan: Toreador

Having been embraced far too many centuries ago to care to remember the details, the forever twenty-four year old Ian Watkins, has moved through time seamlessly, taking on the challenges of each new era, and more importantly, surviving. With his charm, wit and thirst for knowledge, Ian has been able to nestle himself into the upper echelons of each new society, flawlessly, creating identities that are, not only respected, but also never questioned.

However, if the Toreador were ever to define himself by one era of his immortal life, then without a doubt, he would be a Renaissance man. This time of cultural revolution gripped at his dormant heart, opening his eyes to the wonders of art and music, of which he could have only dreamed of. He immersed himself within his paintings and musical compositions, for once in his rather lonely existence finding that time truly flew by, stirring life back into the hollow shell of his cold body.

But as the 17th Century drew to a close, so did the spark fade from the apparently ‘youthful’ vampire’s eyes. For he could no longer find the inspiration he needed to continue his paintings, or to grace the keys of his piano in order to write another concerto. Ever so slowly, the cold crept back into his life, and he withdrew to face eternity alone.

Of course, little did he know that he would soon come across a Kine that would steal what breath was left in limbo within his lungs. A diamond within the rough, young Boyd Holbrook became his fire, the reason to return to society and his passions, forcing the shadows from his days. Rescuing the teenager from the streets, Ian took him into his manor, delighting in the energy and life that exuded from someone who had not even begun to live, nor had seen the world as Ian had seen it. They became very close, and although Ian was happy, there was always a part of him that knew Boyd’s mortal company would never be enough.

It had already begun to show in the ruined canvases on the floor, the shredded manuscript paper lining the study. For despite his talents and eye for detail. Ian could never seem to capture Boyd’s beauty, or the feelings he conjured, in any art form, and this disheartened him greatly. Truth be told, he loved Boyd’s zest for life, the warmth of his touch, and the beat of his heart within his chest…but he would not spend eternity without a lasting reminder of his muse.

And so, after much consultation and debate, internally and externally, Ian gained permission and chose to embrace Boyd, in order to keep what gave meaning to his existence, immortal.

The bond between Sire and Childe, in this case, was exceptionally strong, and Ian quickly took Boyd into his confidence, teaching him the ways of their clan, ensuring the preservation of knowledge and the history of the Toreadors – at least according to Ian.

However, the blissful nature of their existence was short-lived, for being one of the oldest and most respected of the clan, lead to certain obligations and commitments. Called upon by the Camarilla, Ian was not even given a chance to say goodbye to his love, before he was thrust into a world of secrecy and betrayal. One of which he has only just been allowed to depart.

With only the thought of his Childe keeping him from the edge of insanity, Ian has finally returned home. But will Boyd be waiting for him?
